Forcast of Forthcoming events – UPDATE

The next RMA Branch Social Evening is the 24th February 2023 at the Royal British Legion Shanklin, at 1900hrs. All Welcome. We need your support to make this RMA Branch viable.

Just a reminder the success of all events and functions will depend on the support and attendance of all our members. We need your help to make events successful.

If you have an event that you would like me to insert on this Web Page please send me the info by email. ( So I don’t get it wrong.) Even if it’s for your own, Charity Event and are looking for sponsorship or help.

Monthly Branch Social evenings

TOTAL BRANCH MEMBERS:

  • It was voted in during the Committee Meeting August 2021 that the Monthly Branch Meetings would now follow a new format. 
  • To encourage more of our members to attend the meeting will now be an informal social evening with no agenda. Please if you wish invite family, friends and guests to attend.
  • The Committee will meet on the same evening, starting earlier and finishing in time to social evening

4. FAREWELL & WELCOME:

  • Rosemary Gilland stood down as President
  • Ian Ward is now the president.

MEMBERSHIP AMENDMENT:

  • I have amended the new members joining list from my last Newsletter – Ross Avery is not a New Member, he made a donation to the Branch earlier on in the year.

Social Gatherings will be held on the last Friday of each month. At the RBL Shanklin. Please see “Home Page” for alterations to dates and location.

SUBSCRIPTIONS / DONATIONS 2021:

Just a reminder from Tom Bodman – Vice Chairman / Membership Secretary he has distributed a letter with regards to Subscriptions / Donations to our Branch Fund. A number of our members pay by Direct Debit / Standing Order to TRMC.

So far we have had an excellent response from our members. Thank you.

CLEANING OF RM COMMANDO MEMORIAL – 

SHANKLIN OLD VILLAGE:

  • The Branch now has a cleaning contract with Wight Stonemasons.
  • The Memorial will be cleaned once a year prior to the Annual Remembrance Day Service.
